“Soul Patrol” is the name of Taylor Hicks’ fan group. After singing a song Taylor (and the audience) would break into chants of “Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol!” Simon Cowell did not particularly like Taylor. He wouldn’t have even sent him on to the Hollywood round. But Taylor ended up winning…
