Trick or Treat ensues; Kids make out like bandits.
Oct 31st
Geesh! Too much candy! Way too much sugar in the house tonight. See, part of the thing is, they’ve had parties at school and at church, and after going around the neighborhood tonight, they have a ton of this stuff!
We visited some friends in Lumberport tonight. Tina had told a few of them we’d stop by. We had a fairly large group of Trick-or-Treaters. Allison, Ryan, Abby, Drew, and Ian all went door-to-door. I did take a couple of pics that I’ll get up here soon.
Number 3 Falls
Oct 30th
So, USC got beat today… West Virginia may move up. I’m not holding my breath though. Texas Tech is giving Texas a hard time right now. It’d be nice to have 3 and 5 fall this week. Give us a little breathing room.
Great Job Allison!

Way to go Shawnee cheerleaders! You all did an awesome job Saturday at the competition. Hopefully I will be able to post some video soon.
England ’97 – A really far look back
Oct 26th
As I mentioned in my last post, Diana and Derek were recently in from England.
When they come in we often get together as a family for dinners and such, and at one dinner last week we started discussing our last visit to England. I went more often when I was a kid, but the trip in 1997 was the first for my nephew Derek. (Yes, I have an uncle named Derek, and a nephew named Derek, too. Confused yet? It may help to know that the nephew was named after the uncle…)
Anyway, after discussing the ’97 trip to England, Derek (the nephew) asked if I still had my pictures and mini-site from the vacation. So, here it is, exactly as it looked in 1997. The downside of that: some of the links on the left-hand column probably won’t work right, and there are bound to be some typos out there. But other than that, please enjoy the look back from almost ten years ago.
Happy Birthday Ryan!
Oct 5th
Ryan is now FIVE years old! His fifth birthday party was on Saturday night and several of his friends came by to celebrate. Ryan got a bunch of clothes and quite a few nice toys to play with.
Everybody danced The Chicken Dance and sang along to Kidz Bop 10 while partying.
We were all very happy to have Ryan’s “Uncle Derek” and “Aunt Diana” visiting from England at the party. I will be posting more pictures whenever I get all the flickr stuff up-to-date.
